Joni Fuller is a sixteen year old singer-songwriter, classically-trained pianist and violinist.
'Voices' was recorded in August 2006 whilst Joni was still fourteen and comprises 12 of her original songs. Joni's distinctive style of songwriting encompasses her rock and classical influences... no compromises!!
Joni studies violin (first study) and piano at the Junior School at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. She has been writing songs since she was 8 and was accepted into the Geneva-based Little Dreams Foundation (as a songwriter) when she was 11.
Joni has performed in the UK, across Europe and beyond. Aged 12, she opened at the Casino Barriere (Montreux Jazz Festival) and has since played live at venues ranging from intimate theatres in Paris and Belgium to 60,000 seater stadiums in Germany (during Phil Collins' 2005 World Tour).
Following her many 'live' performances, 'Voices' came as a result of a growing desire to hear her songs properly recorded. It was a labour of love! A wonderful creative musical experience to capture 12 of Joni's songs, just as she wanted to hear them.
Live performances in 2007 included a breathtaking set in Coventry Cathedral during the World Giftedness Conference. Further live shows in Lyon, Lausanne, Manchester and London followed before a live acoustic TV performance during Telethon 2007. In 2008, Joni has teamed up with gifted young guitarist Tim de Graauw and more live shows are to follow...
Joni continues to write prolifically and is currently preparing material for a second (and third!) album.... watch this space...
Joni combines songwriting and performing with a demanding classical music training and (of course) ... school!!!
